One of my Sabbath Queen portraits graces the cover of Lilith Magazine’s spring issue! My first time having a costume piece on a magazine cover, and I’m thrilled. Inside, you’ll find a personal essay by me about my costume / character creations, and how hats, for me, relate to feminism.
PeSaCH PUnk
Introducing Pesach Punk, my newest costume / character project. She’s my wearable interpretation of Passover’s Angel of Death, inspired by the aesthetics, sound, and attitude of early London Punk.
You can learn more about Pesach Punk, and watch her delectably rude music video based on the classic Passover tune “Dayenu,” by going to my homepage.
My First Magazine COVER!
I’m thrilled to share this issue of Image Journal with you, with one of my collage pieces on the cover!! I’ve never had my work on a magazine cover before, and it feels like a big deal. Image also interviewed me for this issue about my current art practice, with some of the most thoughtful and smart questions I’ve ever gotten to answer. I hope you’ll give it a read!

My Interview with Sandi DuBowski for Filmmaker Magazine!
Such a treat to discuss my dear friend Sandi’s brilliant film, Sabbath Queen (yes, we have projects with the same titles) for Filmmaker Magazine!

Very glad to share that UK’s largest Jewish periodical, the Jewish News, has published a lovely piece about Sabbath Queen!
Behold, the Sabbath Queen!
This last weekend I premiered my latest and most ambitious costume project to date, The Sabbath Queen, as a live performance at the Jewish Currents Magazine conference. It was entirely fabulous!!!
Check out my homepage for more info and images.
Thrilling news - this project will be on display as part of a solo exhibition of my work supported by The Invisible Dog in 2025!! Stay tuned.
Recapping The Golden Bachelor on Fake The Nation!
This week I got to discuss the first 2 episodes of The Golden Bachelor on the Fake the Nation podcast, hosted by the incredible Negin Farsad! This new, seniors-oriented season of the franchise has much to discuss, and we got into all of it - hearing aids, elderly making out, late in life fitness, and whether or not women who’ve survived menopause should be asked to sleep in bunk beds (the answer is no).
Listen Here! Or wherever you get your podcasts.

Canvas Compendium
Canvas, one of very few funders focused on Arts & Culture in Jewish life, has its own online magazine, the Canvas Compendium. They regularly invite artists they admire to write about the Jewish artists they love, and for their most recent issue they chose me!
It was an honor and joy to kvell (praise / talk up) and write about the creators who inspire my practice. You can read it here.

The Box
Coming Very Soon! The Box is a 2-person exhibition with works by me and the brilliant Anne Mourier, a feminist, visual conversation about our faiths of origin. Many thanks to Aaron Rosen and the Luce Center for the Arts and Religion.
Creating this show with Anne, an artist and human I hugely admire, has been a joy.
Anatevka Premiere at the 2023 New York Jewish Film Festival!!
What a night!! This last Wednesday my newest short film, Anatevka, had its US premiere at Lincoln Center, and I am still totally blissed out. The film showed on a night of short films by female directors.
My young cast got to see their phenomenal performances on that iconic big screen, and the audience really connected with the film. As filmmakers, we can’t really know how our projects will land with folks outside our loved ones until they show publicly. Hearing the laughter as my film played in that big room was a really special, gratifying experience.
More exciting Anatevka news coming soon!! Stay tuned.
My incredible young movie stars posing at the festival.
Hadar Ahuvia, my fabulous star and collaborator, on the big screen.
No one does dapper like my husband.
The Q & A on stage after the screenings. Such an honor to chat with these remarkable filmmakers!
I’m on Fake the Nation with legendary drag queen and trans activist Eureka O’Hara!!
Dreamy does not begin to describe how I feel about appearing as a guest this week on the Fake the Nation podcast with Negin Farsad. We were joined by drag legend EUREKA O’HARA!!!
Eureka O’Hara, people. The queen you know and love from Rupaul’s Drag Race, from All Stars, and from We’re Here on HBO!!!
Getting to chat about current events with these two legendary ladies was such a blast!!
